This evening I have upgraded my main PC to Ubuntu 9.10 (codenamed Karmic Koala), and have completely reinstalled Ubuntu (netbook remix) onto my eeepc netbook. Long story short, I love Ubuntu even more now, and with every update and upgrade they come out with, it just gets better and better. And for free - you can't go wrong. Really. It just WORKS.
Bite the bullet - install Ubuntu!

Karmic Koala upgrade complete...
The upgrade went smoothly... my computer restarted and displayed a very nice splash screen. It logged me in automatically, and almost immediately a notification sprang up informing me that my hard disk has "many bad sectors" and it suggests I replace it. So I'm impressed. Jaunty didn't tell me that.
Firefox was upgraded to 3.5, there's the Ubuntu Software Store installed, and apart from that, I'm not noticing too much difference. So far. So good.Perhaps I should buy a new hard disk.

Upgrade to Karmic Koala Alpha 6
Or Ubuntu 9.10 as it's otherwise known as.
I've just done a backup of my hard-disk incase everything goes drastically wrong. Although, I am holding out a lot of hope. I think it's going to go very, very well. Here we go...
